Get into a good sleep schedule
Lockdown is the perfect time to get into a really good sleep schedule. The NHS recommends that primary school students should get between 9 and a half and 11 hours of sleep each night, and for secondary school students, it’s at least 9 hours. A good thing to think about is making sure you got to bed at a consistent time - for older students, between 10-11pm is the best time as this is when you produce less cortisol - the hormone commonly linked to stress. Setting an alarm for the morning may seem tough, but it can help you feel like you are actually getting up to go to school, even if the alarm is set slightly later than it usually would be.
